Shredded Carrot Poriyal /Carrot Poriyal

Carrot is one of common ingredients in our daily life.We use Carrot in many dishes.Carrot Poriyal is full compact pack of nutrients.Here I used shredded coconut instead of small piece because it's easy to eat and kids liked it.Its easy and quick recipe.Perfect side dish for lunch box



Ingredients
  • Carrot - 250 grams
  • Onion (Medium) - 2nos
  • Green Chilli - 3 nos
  • Shredded Coconut
  • Curry leaves - few
  • Mustard - 1/2 tsp
  • Channa dal - 1 tsp
  • Split Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
  • Peanut oil
  • Salt
Preparation
Heat pan add oil and add mustard,Channa dal,Urad dal,curry leaves



Add onion ,green chillies and saute until golden brown


Add shredded carrot,salt and sprinkle water and cook it medium flame


Finally add shredded coconut



Serve with hot rasam sadham and curd rice
